We came here for a late breakfast bite on a Thursday. Ordered starwbwerry Avo toast, yogurt parfait, and ham reakfast burrito. The husband said toast was fresh and very good. My son and I shared the burrito. My son, who isn't a big breakfast guy, basically finished it. salsas or the extra ingredients were flavorful. We loved the variety on menu! Service was awesome. We will be back!
Everyone was friendly from the owners to the customers we felt at home, and this place feels like family they'll take care of you. My new spot to eat at before a hike in the morning.
Very friendly staff and even more delicious food for a great price! Was also great for my celiac wife with the options they provided! Will come back when we visit cali again!
Hands down one of the best cafe in Monterey, if not the whole Bay Area. The special sandwiches we got, the lamb and the steak sandwich are amazing. The steak sandwich is in fact mind blowing. The steak pieces are big, medium rare perfection, and you can munch down with a clean bite. The latte is solid, and their pastries! The croissant is again perfectly crisp and buttery. The pumpkin bread is thick and heavy with loads of nuts and raisins. The cherry on top is that the owner, I believe, is so kind and attentive. He pumped everything up, but he speaks the truth. Everything is amazing here. Definitely will come back and eat here again.
Awesome menu and service. The smell of fresh meat on the grill accented by coffee really pulls you in. Patio is dog friendly too. Parking: Small shopping center but parking could be easily found within 20-30 ft
Absolutely amazing, was greeted with respect and kindness. The sandwich that was in special today was a leg of lamb sandwich. I must say, this is absolutely delicious. I am from Southern California, this may be the best sandwich I’ve had in awhile.
Santa is here today! Guys. What are you waiting for?
Tasty; lots of variety; very welcoming, service oriented atmosphere. By far, one of the best breakfast / coffee options in town. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their work.
Absolutely loved this place! A family friendly environment and you could tell they put a lot of love and pride into their food. Breakfast sandwich & coffee was so good and they also have gluten free bread options!
Super cute cafe. Went here for the 1st time for coffee and breakfast. Staff is super friendly and helpful. The food was a good and the coffee was delicious.
Stopped here on our way out of Monterey to head back home in Sacramento. The panini's were excellent and the owner was as kind as could be.
We got the quiche warmed up to go! Delicious and a delightful stop! The owners take great care and very friendly!
Family and I loved everything we had. Chai Tea, Coffee, avocado toasts, almond croissants (our favorite) and croissant sandwiches. Staff was extremely nice.
Discovered this cafe while driving from Monterey to Santa Cruz. Cute little cafe. Reminded us of a cafe we worked at in college. Food was eggcellent. We got the egg volcanos. Amazing! Also enjoyed their pour over brewed coffee. Would only recommend having either a QR code menu available or simple print out menus, even us two young women with pretty great eyesight couldn’t read the menu on the wall and were told to take a photo of it on our phone and zoom in, in order to read the menu.
Small portions, for what your paying; but delicious. I wasn’t offered a receipt and I was to shy to ask when I realized I wasn’t provided one. We only ordered 5 items (2 sandwiches, 1 small coffee, 1 juice, and and 1 pastry) and it came out to almost $50, wish I knew how much i was charged. The natural press juice is $12.50 but there is no signage regarding the price until you’re rung at the register. The pesto Mayo was bomb! We probably won’t return but it wasn’t horrible.
This place was so lovely. The owner is so inviting and the employees really know the people. The patio is a beautifully decorated area, very relaxing. We thoroughly appreciated all the extra touches of hospitality. They even played nice music. Great place please check it out on your way to the Aquarium. It'll be the best part of your day! Vegetarian options: You have the ability to sub or remove meat from the items. I got a breakfast burrito and substituted veggies, bell peppers onions, etc instead of meat. They had vegan baked goods too. Dietary restrictions: They are very accommodating. Just let them know you have a dietary restriction. Parking: It's in a communal parking lot so there's lots of parking. Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly and dog friendly as well. Fun for the entire family. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes! They can clear a space to put a wheelchair at the tables and if I remember correctly there is a ramp.
We had the opportunity to passing through the California State in JUN_FY2024 and it was an amazing experience be in the Café Mia Brew Bar & Bistro, a great opportunity to learn more about Mexican cousine. In an sunny sunday morning following by good music. Definitely, it's a place with good vibes that deserves my respect. It was a privilege. Amazing food and excellent customer service. Thanks Mr. Horácio anf family, Good bless you!
This was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last. The breakfast burrito was hot, fresh, and tasty, and the price was just right. The drip coffee and muffin were incredible. You absolutely have to stop by! The owner is genuinely passionate about hospitality, always smiling, and makes you feel like part of the family.
First time at this place. Right from the start the vibe in this place is cozy and friendly. It’s always nice seeing the owner be involved in his business and you can definitely tell he is putting his heart and effort into everything he is doing here. Watching him make our sandwiches was a work of art and then the conversations with the staff here was amazing, felt like I knew them my whole life. Just one stop here is guaranteed to brighten your day. Would definitely be coming back here as the food and service is top tier.
The food at this cafe is ridiculously fantastic! My first time here and lived in Marina for almost half my life. I would go here more often now to try all of their creation. I am a foodie and been searching for food combination that really makes a difference and he got it. Thank you for this exciting experience!
Super lovely staff and atmosphere! Came here for breakfast. My partner had a breakfast burrito which was great and such a good portion he struggled to finish. I had an avocado toast on rye bread and a coffee. The avocado toast was topped with some great seasoning and was really tasty, but the portion was quite small, especially when you compare with the burrito, and the price is exactly the same. That was a bit disappointing, I grabbed a bagel at a store right after as I was still hungry and did not want to pay another 9$ for a small piece of toast. Other than that, it would have gotten 5*. Coffee was great! Nice touch with the small pieces of orange, very sweet.
First time stopping by and it most definitely won't be my last. Great hot and ready, made to order, delicious breakfast burrito for the price, the drip coffee and muffin were AMAZINGGGGGGG. A MUST to stop by!!
What a great gem! Horace was so kind and welcoming. My son (18) and I are visiting the area and stopped in for coffee. I had the mexican mocha so yummy with a little spicy kick! I also had the volcano with chorizo. Horace recommended it once I told him I was gluten free and he was so right! I loved it! My son and I will be back and tell our friends and family about this gem of a place.
First time in Café Mia Brew Bar and Bistro this afternoon. We were graciously greeted by the owner behind the counter. We ordered two carmel frappes and a carmel latte, with the blue zone strawberry avocado toast. All drinks were delicious and the toast was perfection! I love the atmosphere and the energy this cafe brings. We are visiting from MN and plan to visit a few more times before we return home!
We highly recommend this cafe. We got excellent customer service & and the food was delicious. We really liked the drip coffee.
Cozy little local cafe with a cute aesthetic! Both the food and the drinks were delicious. The cafe has something for everyone considering the variety of beverage/bakery/meal options they had. Owner was super friendly and welcomed everyone like their family! I would definitely recommend anyone who’s in the area to go visit there!
This place is so great we want to move to Marina now! We both got coffees and we shared french toast and a croissant breakfast sandwich. The food was delicious and the owner/manager was so kind. Couldn't recommend this place higher!
Stopped by on my way from Monterey to SFO, and I’m so glad I did! I got the pb-banana toast, pumpkin scone, and latte. Everything was delicious. They had a steady stream of customers, even before sunrise. You can tell this little cafe is loved.
One of the most friendly and welcoming places I’ve ever been to. The owner, Horacio, was supremely kind to everyone who came in, including a man who didn’t have enough money for a cup of coffee. He gave him one, along with a large breakfast. And then he gave my dog bacon. Wow. Awesome experience. And the pour over cup of coffee was fantastic! I’ll be back!
The owner, Horace, works register and he's an absolute delight. Very charming, very sweet, overall amazing attitude. He clearly loves what he does. They take the time to learn your name also. Came with roommates, we got 2 breakfast paninis, one with chorizo and one with vegetables, and a Caprese panini. They were all delicious, definitely want to go again and try more!! Vegetarian options: Vegetable breakfast panini, lots of Vegetarian options
The best place here for breakfast and more! The owner works here and make you feel like home. Cosy. Quick service. The food here is amazing like the owner. We came specially from Israel to try some American unique culinary - and this is definitely the place to do it
This is the perfect cafe. Horace is still slinging great java, both espresso and pour over. Come for the breakfast burrito, always upbeat demeanor, the food and the coffee are worth whatever it takes to get here. Arrived at 0730 and there was a line that moved fast and you’ll be served with a smile and positive attitude that makes your morning and your day a LOT brighter!!! He knows your name after a couple of visits and I’m so happy he’s still in business after the storm. You won’t be disappointed.
Stopped in for quick breakfast and had an awesome experience. I had the egg volcano with sausage and would highly recommend! Very cool presentation and delicious!
Cash or Venmo only here. The orange cranberry scone, OMG. Apple, Brie, Basil Toast was a surprising home run! The owner is very charismatic and fun. Outdoor seating available. The orange cranberry scone was almost cake-like in the best way and was topped with a thick orange swirled glaze that has royal icing vibes. The Apple, Brie, Basil Avocado Toast didn't have any Basil in it but I honestly didn't miss it there were so many other toppings like avocado, arugula, melted brie, honey drizzle, chili flakes, and prosciutto. Not to mention the toast is a very light and tasty wheat sourdough walnut bread made exclusively for the cafe by a local bakery.
Coffee Mia is the best cafe in Marina. The food never disappoints. I've ordered several different items and haven't found something I didn't like. Service is impeccable, you feel like you've known them your whole life.
Great food!! We were at Carmel by the Sea which can get busy for breakfast, nap we decided to venture out.. found this gem not so far away and was glad we did. The owner was super friendly and very accommodating. I asked if it was too early for fish and his response was, it's never too early... He made me this amazing grilled salmon with jalepenos. my wife asked about tamales that he then suggested to try it with an egg since it was breakfast, and it was delicious If you are in the area or somewhat close, give this place a try. Only caveat to be aware of, they don't take cards, so cash or Venmo to pay
We stopped here on the way home from a trip and couldn’t have ended the trip in a better way! Horace was so kind and friendly and our food and coffee were incredible! I got the sausage breakfast burrito and my husband got the chorizo one. We both had vanilla lattes that were delicious! Highly recommend Coffee Mia!
Stopped by 4 times while staying in Marina. Fantastic breakfast sandwiches and coffee. The fried egg and pork belly croissants were delicious! Drip bar is awesome and Horace is the man. A+++
Wonderful experience. The owner was SO FRIENDLY...like chipper AF. Felt like a local spot with many "Good morning!"(s) and a warm positive vibe. Very nice & clean bathroom. 5 stars!
I’ve come a total of 3 times and I must say I’ve never felt judged, watched or confused. The coffee is always amazing and they’re desserts are extra sweet. The owner makes it seem like this place is too good to be true. The service isn’t worth me talking about because I could do it no justice by how wonderful they’ll treat you. And for that I keep coming back!
If you're looking for a cozy coffee shop with delicious food and a family owned environment... this is the perfect place. The coffee is wonderful and the food is equally tasty. Great variety on the menu for all types of tastes. Highly recommend.
What an amazing atmosphere and great staff. Felt like we were part of the family. Owner is amazing. He was meant to make people feel happy and full with amazing food. Thanks for the great breakfast. We will be back again.
